WARRIORS ACADEMY QUARTET GET ENGLAND UNDER-17 CALL

Warriors academy quartet Tom Miles, Ben Rowley, Tobi Wilson and Fin Thomas have been named in England’s Under-17 training camp, which takes place in Bristol next week.

In all, 49 players have been selected for the three-day camp, 24 in the North squad and 25 in the South squad.

The camp gets underway on Friday February 28 and will feature a North v South game at 11am on Sunday March 1 at North Bristol RFC.

“We are delighted for the players who have been selected to take part in the training camp in Bristol,” said Mike Hall, Manager of the Three Pears Warriors Academy.

“They have all worked hard throughout the season and this is a nice reward for them to recognise their efforts.

“The under-18s squad have put in some excellent performances this season, which is testament to the hard work of all the coaching and support staff.

“To have four players included in the England Under-18s training squad and now four in the North versus South camp is great reward to everyone that has worked so hard alongside these players.”

Warriors Under-18s enjoyed a stellar Premiership Rugby Under-18 League campaign, culminating in last week’s emphatic victory over Saracens to claim third place.

Stourport High School duo Thomas and Wilson will represent the North of England, while Ellesmere College prop Rowley and Tom Miles of King Henry VIII are both in the South of England set-up.
