Some of our pupils will have experienced social and emotional difficulties and require a smaller school setting in which to develop their self-esteem and resilience. Others may have been at risk of exclusion from school because of their behaviour and require individual guidance about how to cope with stressful situations and encourage them to work out more positive choices for themselves. All pupils will be dual registered with their home school. They will attend The Aspire Academy for specific interventions or curriculum options and may complete other aspects of their education, such as vocational options at KS4, with different providers.
We aim to provide a personalised curriculum which meets individual need and allows each pupil to grow and develop at their own pace, experiencing success on a regular basis in order that self-confidence can flourish and their academic progress and post 16 destination will be what they are capable of achieving.
We will add value to the curriculum. We will bring the students to the Stadium and we will visit them at the Academy. We will incorporate our programmes such as 'Walk Like A Warrior' to help the students learn in a different way. We will deliver physical education and teach them about leading healthy lifestyles. We will provide them with role models.
