Bishop Perowne Church of England College have been crowned the winners of the inaugural Worcester Bosch Enterprise Initiative.
After a six-month programme, Bishop Perowne went head-to-head with five other schools from across the West Midlands to design a product which could be sold at the Sixways Store.
The tense final took place ahead of Warriors' Aviva Premiership victory over Bristol Rugby earlier this month and the competition was fierce.
Bishop Perowne eventually won the competition after devising a Warriors-themed gift set for dogs to be sold in the Sixways Store.
There were also valiant efforts from finalists Christopher Whitehead Language College, Baxter Business and Enterprise College, South Bromsgrove High, The Stourport High School and Shireland Collegiate Academy as students all pitched their ideas to Worcester Bosch Sales and Marketing Director Steve Lister, Managing Director of Hewitt Recruitment Louise Hewitt and Head of the Warriors Community Foundation Carol Hart.
Steve Lister said: "The standard of presentations was extremely high and deciding a winner proved to be tough.
"The energy and enthusiasm that the students brought to the boardroom will stand them in good stead when they move into working life.
"The winners devised a simple but effective idea which can be scalable into other pet products and we look forward to seeing the first one being sold in the Sixways Store soon."
Bishop Perowne not only received the accolade of being the first Worcester Bosch Enterprise Initiative winner, but they will also receive the profits from the sale of the product which will be donated to the school. The gift set will be in store from September this year.
Steve added: "The bar has been set and we look forward to the process starting all over again in September to find the next Enterprise Initiative winner."
