Since the Ladies team was established in 1993 the first-team has gone from strength to strength and were crowned Premiership champions for the first time in their 20-year history in the 2012/13 season.
Finishing a very credible fourth in the Women's Premiership in 2015/2016 behind Saracens and league-winners Richmond, Worcester also has a long history of international success. Five players represented their respective countries at the 2010 Rugby World Cup, three players in the England squad for the 2013 Sevens Rugby World Cup and seven in the 2014 Rugby World Cup in France, which England went on to win.
Worcester currently have several international players representing England, Scotland and Wales and also have a MBE amongst their ranks in Rochelle Clark.
Donna Kennedy retired from an outstanding playing career in 2010 (with a record-breaking 115 caps for Scotland and all from the starting line-up) and joined the Worcester coaching team the following season. She took on the Head Coach role in 2013 and assumed the Director of Rugby position full-time at the start of the 2015/2016 season.
While the majority of her 115 caps for Scotland were as a back row player, she did represent her country on four occasions on the wing. Kennedy has set her sights on winning the Premiership title with Valkyries, like she did as a player with Worcester back in 2013.
Worcester Valkyries train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm till 9pm at Sixways Stadium.
