Warriors chief Brain calls for big noise

The 10,000 fans watching Worcester Warriors kick off their Guinness Premiership campaign against Bristol on Saturday have been thrown a challenge – make a wall of noise and launch us on our best season so far.

The Sixways crowd has a reputation for becoming the 16th Warriors player on the pitch, and director of rugby John Brain does not want that to let up as his team bids to move forward on the pitch, as well as off it, in the coming eight months.
To make it all the noisier when the whistle blows this weekend, 2000 horns will be given away to Worcester supporters at the Bristol match.
“The players respond to the close relationship they have with our supporters,” says John, “so we want to generate some energy and passion.
“The atmosphere at Sixways is always very special, and it really does make a difference to the guys on the pitch. Let’s have a wall of noise on Saturday. The horns will be handed out at the ground before the match.”
