Sixways toasts new Carlsberg deal

Worcester Rugby Club has renewed a deal that will bring a smile to the faces of thousands of supporters.

The three-year agreement  with Carlsberg UK extends a relationship that began when Warriors were bidding for promotion from National Division One to rugby’s Premiership, and highlights the faith the company placed in the dreams and plans for success at Sixways.
It has been hailed by club chairman Cecil Duckworth as an important step in the continuing development of the club.
“We’re very pleased that we’re going to be working with Carlsberg for another three years,” he said. “It’s been a very good partnership for both organisations and for our supporters, and it will be just as important as we build towards bigger and better things here.”
Carlsberg sales director Rob Sandall echoed the sentiment.
“It’s a relationship that we’re delighted to be extending,” he said. “It’s done us the world of good over the last four or five years, here at the stadium and in the community. We’re looking forward to continuing that. The deal is for a significant sum that’s in line with the profile of the club and the brand.”
