Ras banned for three weeks

Warriors centre Dale Rasmussen has been banned for three weeks for a dangerous tackle on Jonathan Pendlebury in the televised Guinness Premiership match against Gloucester on Friday, October 13.

The ban, imposed by an RFU disciplinary panel chaired by Judge Jeff Blackett in London, ends of Wednesday, November 8, and means he’ll be available for selection again for the match against Northampton Saints on Saturday, November 11.
The 29-year-old Samoan international pleaded guilty to the offence, which happened in the second half of Warriors’ 20-35 defeat but wasn’t penalised by referee Dave Pearson on the night.
He has already served a one-match suspension imposed by the club, which ruled him out of Saturday’s European Challenge Cup Pool 5 opener against Viadana. He will now miss Worcester’s trip to ASM Clermont-Auvergne and the GP clash with Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Saturday, November 4.
