Reg is itching to return to action

Tony Windo is badgering the Sixways medics to let him rejoin his team-mates in training, as he continues his welcome recovery from long-term injury.

The veteran Warriors prop had an operation on a bulged disc in his lower back at the start of September and is desperate to take the final steps towards a playing return before Christmas.
The Sixways favourite suffered the injury during a pre-season weights session and admits he has found patience hard to come by ever since.
“When you’re not involved, it makes you feel helpless,” Reg writes in Saturday’s match-day programme. “I’d like to be involved in the training week, even if it was being able to get out on the training field and helping the side prepare for the weekend. It would make me feel a bit better. The feeling of being useless is what I’m finding hard.
“I think I’m a continual pain in the backside to Bob Stewart and Keir Hansen at the minute,” he admits. “I’m pestering them to let me take part in some skills sessions. I’ll continue to badger them and, hopefully, within the next few days, they’ll let me take part in some non-contact stuff.”
