Warriors go full circle with new web partner

Worcester Warriors have joined forces with a young company to score a first in the thrill-a-minute world of Premiership rugby.

The club and Total360tours have created a whole new ball game with a virtual website tour of the Sixways ground and its extensive conference and banqueting facilities.
The site plays a prominent part in the job of promoting and marketing the club, and the ‘tour’ is the first that would-be clients and supporters can take direct from a Premiership club website.
“Warriors’ corporate facilities are extensive and versatile,” says Laurence Cockayne, of Shropshire-based Total360tours. “When we first showed them how effective our service could be in adding a new, immersive dimension to the site, they had the foresight to embrace the technology. If you have facilities that you want to show, this is a perfect way to do it.”
The Ellesmere company started in 2004, promoting the hotel and leisure industry but, in the past year, it has broadened its horizons into colleges and golf courses – and now rugby.
Warriors believe that the opportunity to work closely with Total360tours in the creation of the virtual tour was an important part of the development.
“They regard customers’ thoughts as very important,” says Warriors commercial director Kathy Leather, “and working in a partnership’s important to us. We’re very pleased.”
Mr Cockayne added: “The team at Worcester was great to work with. If our service helps raise awareness of what the club has to offer on its corporate hosting, then our partnership will have been a success. That’s our goal.”
