Warriors swing into action for Prince’s Trust

Worcester Warriors have helped raised thousands of pounds for The Prince’s Trust, the UK’s leading youth charity, after teeing off with city sporting neighbours.

The four-ball from Sixways, captained by Chairman Cecil Duckworth and including Director Roger Murray, General Manager Charlie Little and Andy Wyeth, Associate Director  (Property) RBS, tackled teams from Worcester City and Worcestershire County Cricket around 18 holes at Sapey Golf Club on Monday, June 11 for the Rabjohns Trophy.

The team from New Road won local sporting bragging rights under the Stableford points system with 88 points closely followed by the Sixways team on 85 and side from St George’s Lane on 81.

But the real winner was the Prince’s Trust with the event making £3,700 for the charity that helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working.

Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, the Prince’s Trust helps 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives. In Worcestershire alone, it helps 10 young people every week get a better start in life.
