With less that a month to go Status Quo are promising a party on the pitch like never seen before at Sixways Stadium and your all invited to join them for this musical extravaganza.
Speaking exclusively to Worcester Warriors, Status Quo front man Francis Rossi spoke of his joy at playing the open air gig in Worcestershire and that no one in attendance will be disappointed.
“We’ve never played in Worcester before, some years back we played around the region but don’t remember Worcester. Having said that, we’ve played quite a few gigs. Its exciting to play a new venue and great to get back on the road again, as this is one of the longest breaks we’ve had in years.”
“We always agree to do these long tours, just before you start the nerves kick in. There’s something about playing live, you get nervous every night; I think all musicians are just insecure show offs, but we don’t stop doing it!”
“The tour takes us all around Europe, normally going to Scandinavia in the Winter, so to see some sunshine will make a change.”
“It’s an experience and I guess, I always enjoy the outdoor venues the best. The atmosphere could be amazing and I’m sure that’s what we’ll get at Worcester.”
“One night we can play in front of 25,000, then the next night 3,000; but you never know what the feelings going to be live. We’re coming to Sixways Stadium to have a great time and a big party.”
“When bands are on the road you hear all this stuff about what they’re going to do to make it different. They promise fantastic lights, 4,000 dancing girls and big explosions. But with Quo you know what your going to get, we’ll play the classic’s and some new stuff, but what we’ll defiantly do is have a good time.”
