Sixways Live ’07 – Catch the bus to Quo

Concert-goers are being reminded there will be NO car parking on site for Sixways Live ’07 – instead they can catch a FREE shuttle bus to the big gig.

Due to the multi-million redevelopment of the home of the Warriors, the club has made alternative arrangements to ensure music lovers can get in and out of Sixways easily to watch rock gods Status Quo.

Warriors have teamed up with First to provide FREE Park & Ride services at locations across the city. Once parked simply catch the FREE shuttle bus to the Sixways Live ’07 concert and watch the musical spectacular.

First Park & Ride buses will start running on the following routes at 2.50pm to Sixways Stadium until 7.45pm and then after the concert from 10.15pm until midnight and run every few minutes. The bus service is provided FREE by First on behalf of WRFC.

BLUE ROUTE 1
– Worcester North Park & Ride, A38, Droitwich Road
– Blackpole Estate East, B4550, Hurst Lane

GOLD ROUTE 2
– St Martinsgate Car Park, City Walls Road
– Crowngate Bus Stand (Stand F) for all other city centre car park, bus and rail connections

WHITE ROUTE 3

Buses will also run from Perdiswell Park and Ride (A38 Droitwich Road out of Worcester) from 5pm.

Please note due to recent flooding there will be no bus pick-ups at Worcestershire County Cricket Club (New Road) or at Pitchcroft.

Visitors who travel by car can also follow the AA signs and club stewards’ directions to the Concert – Park and Walk scheme on Wainwright Road. Visitors should take Junction 6 of the M5 and onto the A4440 following the yellow AA signs marked ‘Concert – Park and Walk’. Sixways is approximately 15 minutes walk from the car parks and is signposted.

Gates for Sixways Live ’07 open at 3pm. All ticket holders will have access via Offerton Road on foot or via Pershore Lane using the Park & Ride facilities.

Taxis will NOT be allowed access to the ground but directed to the Park & Walk areas. The drop off point will be situated at the Royal Mail Sorting Office in Wainwright Road. Concert-goers are urged to follow AA signage.

Dan Zaltzman, Warriors Head of Marketing, said: “We are very grateful to First for providing free shuttle buses from Park & Ride sites across the city and would urge visitors to Sixways to take advantage of the service.

“We want all concert-goers to enjoy their visit to the home of the Warriors and I would urge visitors during their journey towards Sixways Live ’07 to tune into local radio stations for the latest travel information.”
