Sixways Live ’07 – Full line-up confirmed

Concert-goers are gearing up for a musical extravaganza at Sixways Live ’07 with the outdoor event still going ahead as planned and line-up now confirmed.

Rock gods Status Quo will be playing live – through hell or high water! – at the home of Worcester Warriors in front of thousands of fans as part of their ‘Just Doin’ It’ tour.

And joining Quo to perform live on the day will be Funky Skunk, My Sergeant Mask and Insanity Beach for what is sure to be a memorable outdoor concert at the home of the Warriors.

Doors open at 3pm with food outlets and merchandise all available around the stadium.

Quo will be headlining the gig and live music on the day will start from 5.30pm and come from a variety of top acts.

Staffordshire band My Sergeant Mask won the final of the BBC Midlands Today School of Rock Competition for 2007 and now organisers of Sixways Live ’07 have given them a once in a lifetime stadium gig. The indie-rock band beat off competition from more than 350 other artists to win the Midlands Today competition with their entry ‘Stereotype’. With an average age of only 16, My Sergeant Mask are Katie Crnokrak, vocals; Matthew Davies, guitar; Ashley Dale, drums; Shaun Stubbs, bass.

Insanity Beach hail from the north-west and have developed a strong following over the last decade. The rock band, made up of Ian Cowell, vocals; James Eyres, guitar; Geoff Davies, bass; Chris Hooker, drums; Stevie Upham, keyboards, have promised to rock the stadium and produce a memorable set to really get the crowd rocking.

Funky Skunk are stalwarts of the local music scene and have been delighting supporters at Sixways for the last few years on match days. The seven-piece band, which formed about four years ago, are much loved by their fans for playing the songs that everybody knows – tracks from the likes of Madness, The Specials, Elvis Presley and Blur.
