Prop star Morris eager for Ospreys test

Darren Morris has warned Warriors they will have to be at their very best to beat his countrymen as Sixways prepares to welcome a star-studded Ospreys side.

Warriors face Welsh giants Ospreys in the opening match of the EDF Energy Cup on Saturday (2.30pm kick-off) in a televised clash.

Ospreys possess a power packed side full of internationals including Gavin Henson, Shane Williams, Justin Marshall, Mike Phillips, Sonny Parker, Lee Byrne and Filo Tiatia who could all feature in the eye catching encounter.

And front row star Morris can hardly wait to face Ospreys and a number of familiar faces after playing spells at Neath and Swansea.

“It’s a massive task against Ospreys and people have got to realise that, the boys cannot underestimate them and the coaching staff certainly don’t,” said Morris, speaking exclusively to The Warrior matchday magazine.

“Ospreys have a tremendous squad and on their day they can challenge any team in Europe. But I believe we can put in a performance to not only match them but get one over them.

“We are confident we can get a result because so far our performances have been more about our own downfall rather than other team’s good play. But when – not if – we correct all of them we will win games. We’re all singing from the same hymn sheet and working hard – a win is imminent.”

Tickets are still available for the Ospreys clash so make sure you are part of the action! Visit the Ticket Office today or call 0870 990 5650.
