Students enjoy special stadium visit

Last year the Warriors ran a highly successful Tag Inclusion Programme, visiting nine schools in the Worcestershire area to introduce the basics of the game.

This year one of those schools, Regency High, decided to visit Sixways and over a two week period they brought seven of their students to the club. These students are in the process of taking an accreditation course and wanted to complete their research.

The second group timed their visit to perfection with latest Warrior recruit Greg Rawlinson also arriving at the same time. And after a tour of the stadium the students concluded their visit by watching a lineout session in the indoor training area where they were later joined by Director of Rugby Mike Ruddock, club captain Pat Sanderson and new boy Greg Rawlinson.

Both students and teachers were absolutely delighted by their surprise guests. Later on one of the teachers Sara Jane Corbishley commented: “We have had two very enjoyable visits at the club, and have enjoyed ourselves enormously and have more than enough information to pass the accreditation. A big thank you to everyone involved. Looking forward to seeing you again in the spring!”
