Warriors chief – Signing shows intent

General Manager Charlie Little believes Warriors have again shown their intent to become a major force in English and European rugby – both on and off the field – with the capture of Chris Latham.

Little has been working hard behind the scenes to head up the senior management team and secure the signing of the world class Australian back.

And he claimed the arrival of Latham has once again demonstrated the desire for Warriors to become a giant of the game in the coming years and build on the momentum growing at Sixways.

“Mike Ruddock said Chris Latham was available and he wanted to sign him – now we have delivered and given a real statement of where we are going as a club,” he said.

“We knew that if we didn’t sign him we would be lining up against him next season. We wanted him on our side and we have done that by bringing him to Warriors.

“We’ve needed to bring in quality to move us up the table and help our younger players. Chris will do that by bringing leadership, experience, direction and professionalism

“Under Mike Ruddock we’ve brought in Rico Gear, Greg Rawlinson and now Chris Latham. We’ve renewed Pat Sanderson’s contract and young players like Chris Pennell and Joe Carlisle and have signed deals. It shows that we are trying to build something very special here.”
