Bristol league trip moved forward

Worcester Warriors can today confirm that their Guinness Premiership fixture away at Bristol on Sunday, May 4 has moved forward to Saturday, May 3.

The game will still kick off at 3pm but will now take place 24 hours earlier at The Memorial Stadium.

Opponents Bristol Rugby sought permission from Premier Rugby Limited to move the game forward 24 hours in order to avoid a clash with Bristol City’s final home league game in the Football League Championship.

Bristol City ordinarily play their home games on a Saturday afternoon but, as is the norm on the final weekend of the football season, all the fixtures have to kick off at the same time on the same day to avoid any team gaining an unfair advantage on their rivals by knowing what they have to achieve from their game.

Warriors have now agreed to the change but supporters with queries should contact the Ticket Office on 0870 990 5650.
