Warriors ready to go Tackled Pink!

Breast Cancer Care have teamed up with Premier Rugby to offer women a weekend of rugby with a difference – and at Worcester Warriors we are preparing to go pink-tastic at our home clash with Bath Rugby on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

For the first time ever all 12 Guinness Premiership clubs will today simultaneously run a charity partnership and the cause to benefit from this first ever joint promotion will be the UK’s leading breast cancer support charity, Breast Cancer Care.

At Warriors we are turning pink for the day to raise funds and awareness for the charity with a variety of special match day activities on offer at the stadium.

While the Warriors staff will be dressed in pink we will also be running a ‘Pink & Proud’ competition with the best dressed supporters – all pretty in pink of course – winning tickets to the Player Awards Dinner.

‘The Warrior’ match day programme has a very special pink theme – plus your very own ‘Try Time’ in the middle pages to wave for any tries at the Guinness Premiership clash.

A special Pink ‘n’ Gold Gamble will be taking place around the site so look out for the sellers and we also have a special Pink Bar in the East Stand. Special stands in the South Stand include Tina Iacovelli Accessories, I Do Nails, Perfect Brows, Virgin Vie and Stone Me.

If you fancy winning a car go around to the South Stand on the day where we have one wrapped in pink – if you guess the registration plate and drive away with that very motor!

Our Touch Rugby demonstration at half-time will have a pink theme and the Warriors Allstarzz will be performing in pink.

Kathy Leather, Commercial Director at Warriors, said: “This is a great opportunity for rugby to see just how many ladies do attend matches each week, enjoy the game and show a good knowledge of the club and team.

“Today is all about showing your support for the 44,000 women and 300 men who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Guinness Premiership club rugby is a great sport for all the family to enjoy and today’s game is a chance to wear pink and show your support whilst enjoying world class entertainment.”
