Project Sixways – View from the East Stand

Sixways Stadium, home of Worcester Warriors and Sixways Events, is undergoing a huge summer revamp – and here is the first look at what the view will look like from the new East Stand!

These new pictures from the construction give you the first impression of just what the spectacular view will look like from the new £8million East Stand.

Work continues at pace around the complex and the latest stage of development has seen:

East Stand –

The pre-cast lift shaft has gone into the East Stand development. The sheeting has also gone in across the floor of the new stand and concrete will soon go down to make the new level totally accessible. Most of the East Stand structure is now complete after a busy weekend of work and all work remains on schedule. The roof and cladding work will commence in the coming weeks. Piling work continues on the new corner block before structural work can commence.

Road and Roundabout –

The new signage has gone up and the road system was opened for the first time on Saturday morning giving a new entrance into the Sixways complex. Traffic management continues on the road system and work continues towards completion. The fence between Pershore Lane and Smite Lane is being completed

Warriors Underpass –

Access to the new Amateur Club changing rooms from the original Sixways Site is now close to completion. Concrete work has been carried out and the path for wheelchair users has gone in.

Stadium Pitch –

The grass has taken well to the new stadium pitch and new drainage is working well after recent bad weather put it to the test. Work has also taken place by the Sixways reception to clean away vegetation and expand the West car park. This will also provide better visibility for a new CCTV system.
