Project Sixways – Stand on schedule

New-look Sixways Stadium is fast nearing completion with the creation of a new East Stand during the close season – with the massive project remaining on schedule for fans to be seated in the stand for the game with Leicester Tigers later this month.

The new £8 million stadium continues to take shape at real pace and over the last week the development has seen:

The seating at the base of the East Stand has returned and new tiered seating is now going in at the back and at the south end of the stand. Tarmac will be put down later this week and early next week the seats should all be back in place.

The cladding has been complete around much of the East Stand development and patio doors and windows have been installed.

Internal walls and corridors are now fitted on the top floor and work now continues to complete the framework of the lower level.

All drainage work is now complete around the East Stand and the roof structure is close to completion with advertising space boards installed at the front.

All primary and secondary steel is now in place on the corner block and you can see the shape of this development. Concrete flooring will go down next week and then cladding will commence on this stage of the development.

Laser continuing snagging work around the complex and a fence is now erected around the perimeter of the stadium by Pershore Lane. Laser will continue to clean up the roads and surrounding areas and hope to be off site in the coming days.
