Latham swings into action for charity

Worcester Warriors star Chris Latham is encouraging sports stars to swing into action after lending his support to a local charity which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who lose their hair through cancer treatment.

Latham, currently back in Australia for rehabilitation for his injured shoulder, is helping organise a golf day in aid of the Little Princess Trust.

Many sporting celebrities, including Graeme Hick, Ieuan Evans, Jamie Baulch and Gladstone Small, will be supporting the charity and others including Matt Dawson and Lawrence Dallaglio hope to take part.

Also supporting the event will be stars from the world of entertainment headed by Gail Porter who works as an ambassador for the charity.

The event, organised by Tellus Link, is at the Forest of Arden Golf Course in Warwickshire on Monday, June 1.

The Little Princess Trust (www.littleprincesses.org.uk) provides wigs and hair pieces for children who lose their hair through cancer treatment and it is a national charity based in Hereford.

Tim Lowe, chairman of the charity, said: “We have just launched an appeal for £130,000 to enable us to help children during the next two years so we are greatly indebted to Chris and the host of stars from the sporting world for their support.”
