Who will take Delport’s top award?

The countdown is on to discover who will follow in the footsteps of full back legend Thinus Delport and be named the Player of the Year at the Warriors Players Awards at Sixways Stadium on Friday night (May 15).

South African star Delport was given the coveted gong at the awards last year – voted for by the coaching staff at Warriors – and now the club is set to name the new winner in a glittering awards ceremony.

The black tie event has become one of the biggest night’s in the club calendar and over 250 guests are already booked into the Pitch View Restaurant for the event that starts at 7.30pm.

A fabulous four-course meal and live music will form part of the night as well as a first class audio-visual experience with live camera feeds and highlights of the season as the top awards are handed out.

The five categories on the night will be Player of the Year, Player’s Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Most Improved Player of the Year and Warrior of the Year.

Last year the top award went to Delport while prop Tevita Taumoepeau was crowned Player’s Player of the Year and wing Miles Benjamin and prop Matt Mullan shared the Most Improved Player of the Year title.

Limited tickets, priced at £60 per head, remain available for the showpiece event. For further details call the Sixways Events team on 01905 454183 or email events@warriors.co.uk
