Inside the Warrior Camp – Jonny Arr

Training is well underway at Worcester Warriors as all the players step up pre-season preparations ahead of the new Guinness Premiership season.

To give supporters a special insight into life ‘Inside the Warrior Camp’ we have been running a series of special training blogs from different players as the big countdown continues.

Today we hear from scrum half Jonny Arr….

“Friday saw us undertake a team triathlon tanks to our friends at Gatorade. I drew the short straw having to take on the 750metre open water swim, while Dale Raz did his Lance Armstrong impression on the bike and Matty Mullan the running leg.

We came fourth, mainly due to my Eric the Eel impression on the swim – although not as bad as Matt Jones and Will Bowley who the search boats are still looking for!!!

The “Michael Phelps” award went to Dave Lyons who continues to show he is a dark horse at every sporting event – (apart from rugby)!!

As you may have seen on the Midlands Today coverage Tevita showed it is possible to complete two whole circuits of the Mountain Biking Course in first gear!!

The boys thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and it was another ‘different’ activity which gets us away from the regular training environment.

With only 2 weeks to go until our “down” week, we all feel like we are nearing the end of the long pre-season climb. Before we know it the season will be upon us……”
