Spirits are very high in the camp after our great win against Sale Sharks, the boys had to work really hard for it and a big effort from our forwards helped us do this.
It was great to hear the fans getting behind us in the final few minutes and really gave us the lift we needed to hang on
Grovesy had a “pale faced turn” in the dressing room after the game, but a few pumps of oxygen soon bought the colour back to his face – he tried to say it was because he was so spent from the efforts during the seconnd half, however we all know it is because he needs some extra fitness training!!!!
Fortunately we were rewarded for our performance with a couple of days off, giving everyone a good chance to spend some downtime with family and friends.
We have a busy schedule coming up with three important games in the next eight days – Leicester on Saturday, Sale in the A League on Monday night then Montpellier next Thursday – so everyone is focused on preparing well and performing like we know we are capable of.
To all of our fans travelling to Leicester (and the 20,000+ Leicester fans) please look out for Chris Fortey’s moustache which he is growing as a fine for one of his numerous punishments for “incorrect conduct”!!!
