Warrior Pie set for tasty Sixways debut

Fans at Sixways Stadium from Saturday can tuck into a new tasty treat as a new pie made in honour of the Worcester Warriors is launched!

Created by Ragley Estate Meats, the Warrior Pie follows hot on the heels of the success of the Warrior Sausages.

Commenting on the pie, Vanda Cookes from Ragley Estate Meats, said: “It’s a robust pie with a distinctive taste and solid from start to finish. We think this truly reflects the Worcester Warriors team.”

The pie is filled with succulent, locally-produced pork and includes a dash of Worcestershire Sauce, Black pudding, a touch of Apricot and a delicious relish (made by the very talented Sixways chefs).

It is encased in a scrumptious hot water pastry. The recipe is similar to the popular Warrior Sausages created by Ragley Estate Meats which are now a regular item on the Sixways Menu.

Former Worcester star, Nick Baxter, who has tasted the pie, added: “It’s not just football clubs that can claim to serve the best match day pies any longer. However, the Warrior pie offers a little more than a regular meat pie and has a sophisticated twist. A little like comparing the game of football to rugby really.”

The Warrior Pie will be available from the Sixways Store on matchday along with Warriors Sausages and faggots!
