Trio of Warriors star at Rugby Camp

During half term 80 enthusiastic young players, between the ages of eight and 14, attended Warwick School for a highly successful two days of rugby action with the Warriors.

The picturesque surroundings of Warwick School which has a long and proud rugby tradition played the perfect host for the Worcester Warriors PRA Camp which saw the players learn and develop their core skills such which are so fundamental in the game of rugby such as handling, decision making and contact skills, whilst at the same time evolving their game understanding.

Stars Chris Latham, Rico Gear and Kai Horstmann visited the camp to spend time with the players, offering input to the coaching groups, as well as words of advice and inspiration through a question and answer session, before signing autographs.

“Warwick School is a fantastic venue and is one of our five Elite Player Development Centres for players between the ages of 14-17,” said Warriors Academy Manager Andrew Stanley.

“Warwickshire is developing into a real hot bed of rugby and an area that, as a club, we are proud to be involved with and support. We have seen players such as Tom Wood, Dave Askew, and Earl Collins come into our Academy Structure and indeed the senior team over recent years and we are keen for that to continue.”
Warriors will be holding a Christmas Rugby Camp at Sixways Stadium on December 21 and 22 where players on the camp will get the chance to meet Warriors Captain Pat Sanderson. Visit www.warriors.co.uk for further details.
