County Development Squads Update

Worcestershire U14 and U15 county development squads faced Greater Birmingham in the first fixture of the season.

The squads, comprised of Worcestershire finest rugby prospects have focussed on core skill development training together since September with the support of local rugby clubs Kidderminster Carolians who have hosted the U14’s, and Evesham RFC who have hosted the U15’s.
Both games which took place at Moseley RFC last Sunday were hard fought battles in the toughest of conditions, and saw Worcestershire take the honours winning 7 points to 0 at U14 group, and 29 points to 0 at U15 group.
“Every single one of the lads have worked really hard in training and it was brilliant to see them out there together on the field putting it into practice.” “We have a lot of talented players throughout the squads, who are keen to learn and develop, they also have a good work ethic which is something you cannot coach but bodes well in tough games such as these” said U15 head coach Craig Walker
Both squads will now continue with their development programme and along with the U13’s look forward to more matches after Christmas.
