Rawlinson demands big home display

Giant lock Greg Rawlinson insists the Warriors ‘have something to prove’ when they face Newcastle Falcons in the huge Guinness Premiership clash at Sixways Stadium on Friday night (kick-off 8pm).

Former New Zealand international Rawlinson is eager to banish any memory of the disappointment of defeat at Bath last weekend.

And he insists the Warriors will use every ounce of passion as they strive to record a big home victory.

“We know it’s a massive game against Newcastle and, after what happened last week at Bath, we definitely have something to prove,” he said.

“Getting to the end of the season it makes it even more important and all the guys are up for it, there will be no passion left out on the field come the end on Friday night. We have to give it our all.

“The future is on our hands with the fixtures we have to come and one area we have spoken about is the discipline and getting it right.

“It feels like we are getting everything right in terms of our systems, but the results have not gone our way. We have just got to keep on going and get it right.

“We know every time we run out that the fans will be cheering and really do get behind us. It is frustrating that haven’t been able to get more wins so it would be amazing to get a big one for them and for us.”
