Rawlinson prepared for cup final game

Lock star Greg Rawlinson has vowed to once again put his body on the line and give every ounce of energy possible when Worcester Warriors battle Leeds Carnegie in the huge league clash on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

Former New Zealand international Rawlinson has endured the experience of playing in high risk games when relegation has been at stake during his time at Bay of Plenty.

The hard-hitting 31-year-old is now gearing up for the must-win clash at Headingley Carnegie this weekend and is determined to produce a result when it matters most.

“We have got to throw everything at it,” said Rawlinson. “These games are like cup finals when everything is at stake.

“It has been a frustrating season. We have come so close to a lot of the big teams, but we seem to have missed out on a lot of opportunities where we could have won games.

“All those situations have added up, and that’s why we find ourselves where we are.

“You look at the way we’ve played against the top teams, then we have progressed, but it has been a really tough league this season.”
