All-action hooker wins player award

Scrum half star Jonny Arr secured an award double and Aleki Lutui took home the top gong at the Worcester Warriors End of Season Dinner at Sixways Stadium on Friday night.

Warriors Academy product Arr, who made 28 appearances this season, picked up the Young Player of the Year award – presented by Academy Assistant Manager Gary Meechan.

The 21-year-old home-grown ace, who has become first choice nine this season, also claimed the Most Improved Player of the Year award from Academy Manager Andrew Stanley.

Departing centre Sam ‘Pocket Rocket’ Tuitupou was named the Players’ Player of the Year and given his award by Skills Coach & Attack Analyst Matt Powell.

Warrior of the Year was awarded by Backs & Defence Coach Billy McGinty to Dale Rasmussen, who this week signed a new one-year deal with Warriors.

The top award of the night was presented by Chairman Cecil Duckworth OBE who gave the coveted Player of the Year trophy to all-action hooker Lutui.
