Summer of Touch reaches thrilling end

The past eight weeks has seen 22 Touch Rugby teams – containing a variety of ages and both women and men players – battle for the title of champions at the home of the Warriors.

The final results of week eight are as follows:

Division One:

Merlin’s Mavericks (2nd Place) v Upton (1st Place) Score: 3-6 (Upton Win 11 – 9 on aggregate)

Can’t Touch This (3rd Place) v Bishop Boys (4th Place) Score: 1-3 (Can’t Touch This Win 10 – 6 on aggregate)

Pickeroo’s (5th Place) v Droitwich (6th Place) Score: 6-8 (Pickeroo’s Win 16 – 15 on aggregate)

Winners of Division One were Upton. Captain Olly Banwell was later presented a trophy by Worcester Warriors back row Jake Abbott.

Division Two:

Hasbeen’s (1st Place) v Desperados (2nd Place) Score: 6-5

Touch and Feel the Quality (3rd Place) v Droitwich Women (4th Place) Score: 10-2

Hoping to Last The Last Match (6th Place) v Halcrow (5th Place) Score: 4-6

Villapool Gunner (7th Place) v South West Chiefs (8th Place) Score: 11-0

Winners of Division two Hasbeens and Wannabees. Captain Dan Hart was presented with his trophy by Sixways summer signing Neil Best.

Division Three:

Neville’s Knobbler’s (1st Place) v Hotspot All Stars (2nd Place) Score : 10-1

Planks Plants (3rd Place) v The Hookers (4th Place) Score: 10-9

Modus (6th Place) v Pint Size (5th Place) Score: 3-13

Ruddock’s New Project (7th Place) v Chaddesley Corbett (8th Place) Score: 9-3

Winners of Division Three were Neville’s Knobblers.
