Warriors back Worcester Wheel Challenge

Players from Worcester Warriors took a break from training yesterday to show support for BBC Hereford and Worcester’s gruelling cycling challenge.

Breakfast presenter Howard Bentham begins the ambitious five-day, 300-mile bike ride around the region on Monday, August 23 to raise money for Herefordshire and Worcestershire charity Noah’s Ark Trust and the ‘Love Lives On’ appeal [supporting bereaved children and their families].

Howard, who will be cycling 50 – 60 miles every day and taking in as many cities, towns and villages as possible around Herefordshire and Worcestershire said: “I’m thrilled to have the support of some of our top local sportsmen before setting off on this challenge.”

Each morning from Monday, August 23, Howard’s breakfast show will broadcast live from a location along the route before he climbs back onto his saddle for that day’s bike ride. Listeners are encouraged to join Howard along the way, on their bikes, or to cheer him on his way.

Further details on the route Howard and his team will be following can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester.
BBC Hereford & Worcester broadcasts on 94.6 & 104.1FM and online via the BBC iPlayer.
