Sixways to fall silent to honour the fallen

Worcester Warriors will observe a two-minute silence prior to the kick-off of the RFU Championship clash with Plymouth Albion this Saturday (kick-off 3pm) to honour the brave servicemen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

Warriors urge supporters at Sixways this Saturday to join the club, players and officials by falling silent as we remember those who lost their lives in conflict.

Meanwhile, a big thank you to fans who dug deep at our recent game with Nottingham Rugby in aid of the Poppy Appeal.

Under the motto “Put on a Poppy”, the 90th Poppy Appeal – supporting The Royal British Legion – highlights the need to support the Afghan generation of Armed Forces wounded and bereaved – now and for the rest of their lives.

The appeal at Sixways raised £989 and we have also invited all the volunteers back to Sixways to enjoy our RFU Championship clash with Plymouth. Thank you to fans for your support.
