Dance in Motion & Cheerleading Festival

Dance in Motion recently helped Worcester Warriors deliver a Sports Dance/Cheerleading Festival, in conjunction with The School Sports Partnership.

Over 200 competitors from 13 local schools took part in the event at Malvern St James School on January 20 in two different categories: Sports Dance and Cheerleading.

Principalof Dance in Motion, Gemma Hinton, was on hand at the festival to organise group warm-ups and free dance. She also judged the competition along with other members of Dance in Motion.

The winning cheerleading school was Pershore High School while the winning Sports Dance school was hosts Malvern St James. The Spirit Award was handed to Abbey Park Pershore.

Steve Joslin, Community Rugby Manager at Warriors, said: “The festival was a superb occasion with so many youngsters taking part and our thanks go to Dance in Motion and The Schools Sports Partnership in helping us deliver this top class event.”
