Warriors discover play-off pool fate

Worcester Warriors will face London Welsh, Nottingham Rugby and Bristol Rugby in the end of season play-offs as the final round of RFU Championship games took place this weekend.

London Welsh’s defeat against Nottingham means they finish the season in third spot behind Cornish Pirates.

Bristol staged a late rally against Rotherham Titans, but were edged out by a point and so will be Worcester’s first opponents in Pool A.

“I would much prefer to go to Bristol than Rotherham and play in their pitch as I expect Rotherham’s will be muddy,” admitted Hill.

“The Memorial Stadium will have a good pitch with a great atmosphere. That is what you want in the play-offs, full houses, good crowds and the chance to play against good teams.

“Bristol have always been my dark horses to get through into the play-offs so it will be a cracking opening game and we will have to be exactly right for that.”

Further details of tickets for Worcester’s home RFU Championship play-off games will be released on Monday. Supporters can purchase the three-game play-off pack by clicking online HERE or by calling the Warriors Box Office during office hours on 01905 454183.
