The Worcester Warriors Community team have recently helped set up The Midlands Ladies Touch League along with six newly formed ladies clubs.
This league is run on a similar format to the IRB Sevens, whereby each club take a turn in hosting an event. Points are awarded to each club on the basis of their performance at each event. After the six events whichever team has accumulated the most points are crown champions.
The first event was hosted by Droitwich RFC and was hugely successful with all six clubs able to participate. The standard was excellent with a number of very close games. Eventually Camp Hill emerged victorious with Bromyard claiming second place. The teams will now move onto Wolverhampton for the second leg tomorrow (Sunday, April 3).
