Arr – Warriors ready for Destiny Day

Scrum half Jonny Arr believes Worcester Warriors are ready for the crunch winner-takes-all RFU Championship semi-final with Bedford Blues this Sunday (kick-off 12.15pm).

Arr has been one of the most consistent performers at Sixways this season and formed a rock-solid partnership with Andy Goode at half back during the play-off stages.

After topping the league during the regular season and play-off pools, Warriors face a massive one-off game with Bedford Blues this Sunday to try and secure a final place.

And Arr insists Warriors are prepared for fully focussed for a big game where the stakes are so high.

“It is a game we have all been waiting for in the squad all season,” said Arr. “It’s a big one-off game and the feeling inside the camp is one of excitement, that we have now reached the massive games at the business end of the season that really matter.

“We always wanted to win our play-off pool and not lose at that stage – which we did – and now the focus is firmly on the semi-final.

“Home advantage is crucial at this stage and I hope as many fans as possible turn up and make plenty of noise.

“It’s massively important that our fans are behind us in great numbers as the Worcester crowd have seen that, home and away, when they turn up and support us we do the same and really produce.

“They have stayed with us for years now and at some of the long away trips they turn out in huge numbers which always gives us a huge lift. At home it should be even better so I hope they really make their voices heard on Sunday.”
