Hill plans to take forward confidence

Head Coach Richard Hill believes the winning habit from a season in the RFU Championship could prove invaluable to the Warriors as they return to the top-flight of English rugby.

Hill took over the hotseat at Sixways following relegation from the Premiership, but quickly turned the club around and installed a fresh confidence and belief in the dressing room.

Warriors upped their game throughout the entire 2010/2011 season, winning all but one match in the RFU Championship, and return to training in less than three weeks as preparations for life back in the elite start.

“We’ve got some work to do over the summer, but the confidence players will have got this last year and from winning constantly can become a winning habit,” said Hill. “We’ve had a good feeling and we’re going to take that and bottle that up.

“The team will take a lot of confidence into the Premiership, but it’ll be tough,” he added.

“We’re going up on a high, as the likes of Northampton and Harlequins have done before us.

“When you’ve gone through a successful season, you go into a new league and feel good about yourselves. On top of that, we’ve also got some good recruits coming in to strengthen the squad.”
