Staff take time to lend helping hand

Staff at Worcester Warriors, led by Charlie Little, General Manager, took time out of their working week to lend a hand to Acorns Children’s Hospice in Bath Road Worcester.

Acorns is the Warriors official charity partner and will be working together to not only raise vital funds but by giving valuable time to this amazing local cause.

The team which was made up of six members of the Management Team spent a day at Acorns for the Three Counties’ Hospice painting gates and fencing. The team also cleared weeds from flower beds and trimmed hedges.

Charlie Little said “The Warriors Management Team were delighted to take time out of the working week to give something back to the community that gives us so much support. Acorns is an amazing charity and we are delighted to be working with them to improve the lives of children with life-limiting illnesses and conditions.”

Acorns cares for nearly 600 children who have life limiting or life threatening conditions and 800 families, including those that are bereaved. There is no charge to families for using the services but it does cost £750 per day for each child’s care.

Acorns relies on donations for the majority of its income.
