Stars get involved with Touch evening

First team members of the Warriors squad descended at Sixways on Wednesday night (June 29) for the next instalment of the summer touch league.

Andy Goode and the Modus Marauders saw off new signing Shaun Perry and the Chaddesley team 5-2 in the 1st round.

In the battle of the brawn, it was powerhouse Aleki and the Dudley Dynamos who out muscled Dale and his Queenfishers by two points.

Any hint of preseason fatigue faded into insignificance when Jake Abbott and Joe Carlisle went head to head with Jake scoring the last minute winning try for Upton against the KCRFC boys.

A great time was had by all, with some tremendous refereeing decisions. With all games played under the banner of ‘friendly’s, much dismay to Alex Crockett who was convinced that he should had been player of the tournament – rugby was in fact the winner!

A big thank you to the referees and participants, and of course the Warriors players for coming down to support their teams.
