Players hit the wall for charity climb

A trio of Worcester Warriors with a head for heights literally hit the wall during pre-season – as they helped scale the equivalent height of Kilimanjaro for charity.

Alex Grove, Matt Kvesic and Andy Short joined fundraisers at Vertical Limit in Shrub Hill to help them achieve 500 climbs of the wall in just over three hours!

The money was being raised by Robert Young and his friend Matthew for MARS – M (ercia) A (ccident) R (escue) S (ervice) – and the event helped collect £1,000.

MARS offers Pre-hospital Immediate Medical Care for Herefordshire and Worcestershire and is a group of highly trained and experienced pre-hospital practitioners: currently 14 doctors, and two advanced nurse practitioners. MARS is a registered charity which exists in order to deliver enhanced immediate medical care to the people of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. MARS provides the organisational framework within which practitioners can continue to be properly trained and equipped; all this is supported by local fundraising.
