Worcester Warriors are in action for the first time this season on Friday night at Edgeley Park for the final regional heat of the JP Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby Sevens.
Warriors hand summer signing and former England Sevens international Danny Gray his club debut as they prepare to tackle Leicester Tigers, Newcastle Falcons and hosts Sale Sharks in Group C of the competition.
Versatile back Mike Penn is named captain while England Under-20 duo Andy Short and Matt Kvesic both feature after impressing in the Junior World Championships this summer.
They are joined by a group of highly talented Warriors Academy players, six of whom have already played senior rugby for the club. Scotland Under-20 wing/centre Sam Atkin will celebrate his 20th birthday in action for Worcester for the very first time.
Warriors will be aiming to join Harlequins, Bath, Saracens and London Wasps who have already made the final at Twickenham Stoop on Friday, August 5.
