Cavaliers in Sixways action on Monday

Worcester Cavaliers will be back in action on Monday night as they welcome Exeter United to Sixways for a friendly encounter (kick-off 7.30pm).

The Cavaliers claimed a thrilling 29-24 victory at Sandy Park earlier in the month when a late try from Alex Crockett secured the win.

Head Coach Richard Hill has vowed to name a very strong side for the return clash and wants his players to stake a claim for selection ahead of the massive Aviva Premiership clash with Northampton Saints this Friday evening.

The Cavaliers team to play Exeter United will be named first thing on Monday morning at www.warriors.co.uk

“We will go full strength on Monday night and anyone who did not start at the weekend against Quins will be involved,” revealed Hill.

“The only one who won’t be playing is Jonny Arr, who has an excuse as he has a leg brace on so we will let him off. Everyone else is involved and it is very important they get an opportunity to show what they can do.

“It is very hard when you come to select a team to replace one of the existing players if someone else has not had the opportunity you play and force his way in. I am of the view that you don’t just change for the sake of it, you change because someone is really putting their hand up and playing exceptionally well for the A team.

“Unfortunately, because we have only had one A team game, it has been hard for any of the players to put their hands up, despite the last two weeks. Now they have that chance.”

Supporters are advised that entry to the game on Monday night is a suggested donation of £1. All donations will go to the Warriors Community Foundation.
