Prop Porter to join Albion on loan

Warriors have agreed to loan prop George Porter to RFU Championship side Plymouth Albion where he will join Worcester centre Sione Tu’ipulotu.

Highly-rated front row talent Porter moved to Warriors from Plymouth Albion this summer and will now return to Brickfields to gain valuable game time in the second half of the season.

Gloucester-born prop Porter has featured on six occasions for Worcester this season, most recently against Bucharest Wolves in the Amlin Challenge Cup in December.

Porter is among the replacements for the game with Banca Monte Crociati at Sixways this Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm) before making the switch to Plymouth.

Former England Under-18 international Porter won the Mike Turner Memorial Trophy for most promising young player at Albion last season and was the only Plymouth player to start every league match for the club during the 2010/11 season.
