Percival looking forward to Sixways return

Giant lock James Percival admits the Warriors are looking forward to getting back on home soil when they welcome reigning champions Saracens to Sixways for a highly anticipated Aviva Premiership encounter on Friday night (kick-off 7.45pm).

After picking up deserved back-to-back losing bonus points on the road at Sale Sharks and Harlequins, Worcester return to Sixways and a venue where they are yet to taste defeat in 2012.

Percival is keen to not only build on that record on Friday night in front of a partisan home crowd but also the performance in the capital against his old club Quins last time out.

“We are all looking forward to going home to Sixways to play,” he said.

“We need a big week training this week. We didn’t get the small margins against Quins, now we need to regroup and look forward.

“We take the positives from the Harlequins game and build as a team. We are going upwards and everything is going the right way.

“I don’t think anyone would have given us a hope at the beginning of the season away at Harlequins,” he added. “People have talked about how many games Quins won on the trot, but we have pushed them all the way.

“Our biggest problem is we are frustrating ourselves because we are improving that much and know where we could be.

“I’m the kind of person who never thinks anything is perfect, I am critical of how I play and I want us to get better. But that is important to be the best.”
