Elmley Castle to represent Warriors at Twickenham

Fourteen school rugby teams from all corners of England will descend on Twickenham to showcase their new talents in front of 82,000 fans at half-time of the Aviva Premiership Rugby final this weekend – including Elmley Castle who will be representing the Warriors!

The teams of ten will be representing the regions of the 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs, plus two extra sides from Norfolk, in celebration of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme.

They will be demonstrating the abilities they picked up during the course of the last season as coaches from all 12 Premiership Rugby clubs and school teachers have teamed up to teach new-to-rugby pupils in the game’s core skills and values.

Elmley Castle will be attending the final at Twickenham on Saturday (May 26) after they won the finals day at Sixways in front of Worcester Warriors Head Coach Richard Hill.

A close match with Burlish Park saw Elmley Castle crowned as champions with a 5-4 win. Elmley Castle will play at half time in front of a packed Twickenham so if you are off to HQ for the final give them a big cheer at half-time!
