Warriors select U18s side for league opener

Worcester Warriors U18s have named their side ahead of their clash with Newcastle Falcons in the opening round of the new Under 18s league.

The 23-man squad includes players from schools and colleges across the region and seven of the players are currently involved in the club’s AASE programme and study at Worcester 6th Form College.

Five of the players selected attend Kings School Worcester, including George Jeavons-Fellows, who captained Kings to victory over Royal Grammar School in the Modus Challenge Cup at Sixways last month. There are ten schools and colleges represented in the squad.

Andrew Boyce and Huw Taylor, who were called-up to the England U18s and Under 17s side respectively earlier this season, are also included.

Warriors will compete in the northern section of the league and their opening game against Newcastle will kick-off at 2pm this Saturday at Carlisle Rugby Football Club.
