Boss Richard Hill has urged his Worcester Warriors to throw everything at Leicester Tigers to maintain the club’s proud home record when the teams meet on Friday night at Sixways (kick-off 8pm).
Warriors are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions on home soil since the opening day loss to Bath Rugby.
However, Tigers also arrive at Sixways in fine form on the back of five successive victories and are rated the second best away side – behind Saracens – in the Aviva Premiership with 18 points from six fixtures.
“We have a proud home record from the start of the season, but we will need to pull out all the stops against a very powerful Leicester team,” said Hill.
“Keeping our home record intact is a big thing for us and we are going to have to play better than we did against Sale Sharks and throw everything we have at them.”
Meanwhile, Hill is confident his squad will have recovered from a punishing encounter with the Sharks that saw several players forced off.
“Josh Matavesi has got a knock to his knee and Ed Shervington got a twist to his ankle, but I think that most of our players are ok and we have been lucky with injuries,” he added.
“It was a bruising game and a lot of defending had to be done. Semisi Taulava also took a big hit and his head went back when he took a smash on the chin, but he seems to be okay too.”
