Kvesic called into England training camp

Worcester Warriors flanker Matt Kvesic, Saracens lock Mouritz Botha and Harlequins wing Ugo Monye have this evening (Sunday) been called up to the England training squad to prepare for the RBS 6 Nations.

England Under 20 graduate Kvesic reported to the camp in Leeds this evening as injury cover for Tom Johnson after the Exeter Chiefs flanker injured his knee in the Heineken Cup defeat to Leinster on Saturday.

Kvesic, who made his debut for Worcester in 2009, has played 54 times for Warriors and scored eight tries.

He said: “I’ve been fortunate to have a run of games at Warriors and now I’m delighted to get the call from England.

“It would be fantastic to get the opportunity to feature in the Six Nations, but my priority now is meeting up with the team, keeping my head down and working hard to try and make that a reality.”
