Shervs delighted to stay on the Sixways ship

Hooker Ed Shervington insisted Sixways was the ‘best place for me’ as he recommitted his future to Warriors after signing a new contract.

Welsh hooker Shervington joined Warriors in 2010 from Ospreys and has become an established member of the senior set-up making 55 appearances in all competitions.

The 27-year-old will hope his continued form will push his international claims having already represented his country at Under-21 level.

But for now his focus is firmly on life at Sixways and the Newport-born ace is delighted to remain a Warrior.

“I honestly feel like this club is going places,” he said. “I can feel we’re not that far off becoming the team we want to be and realising the ambition that everyone has for Warriors.

“I can’t fault the set-up here, the club and the people who work here are passionate about bringing success.

“I feel settled at the club, I like the place and have a good relationship with the fans,” he added.

“I could have gone back to Wales but I feel this is the best place for me to keep playing and getting better.

“I like the intensity of the Aviva Premiership and want to continue playing in the league.

“I’m glad my future is all done and I’m on the ship and looking forward to the journey in front of us. Happy days.”
